this is normal before your period, u get alittle depressedand u probebly feel lonely, its better to watch what u eat before ur period start , avoid salty and oily food as much as possible, and also drink hot mint can help reduce the depressionand the pain, and this is totally normal,. so just dont worry

or there is also St.John’s Wort (a natural anti-depressant)

I don’t think so.it’s hormones. Your progesterone level climbs high the week before your period.thats what causes the PMS symptoms. Try taking the low dose birth control pill if you can…it helped regulate it for me.
No, I am an OBGYN and food had nothing to do with calming you hormones. Your get cravings for it but when you eat it, it does NOT supress your emotions. That is a rumor and is not true.
Poor eating habits may be affecting your mood somewhat but it is most likely due to the hormonal changes you experience while your menstruating.
That depends on what your eating. If you’re eating unhealthy food .. it doesn’t matter what time of the month is, you’ll feel like the food you eat … unhealthy.
If you are eating properly, it may be that you suffer from PMS … which would explain your mood. If you don’t have an OB/GYN as yet, I’d advise you to seek one … as they may be able to alleviate some of your symptoms. Wishin’ you well … 🙂
